Who I am
This website (charlottechilds.com) is run by Charlotte Childs ("I", "me", "my"), a sole trader based in London, UK. I am the data controller for any personal data collected through this site. If you have any questions about privacy or your data, email me at enquiries@charlottechilds.com.
What I collect
The only personal data I collect is what you choose to send me - through the contact form or by emailing me directly. That's your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message.
Like most websites, this site is built on Wix, which sets some cookies needed to run the site (see Cookies below). I don't ask for more than you volunteer, and I don't collect sensitive personal information.
Why I use it
I use your details only to read and reply to your enquiry, and to follow up on any work we go on to discuss. My legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch (and, where we start working together, taking steps towards a contract).
I don't use your details for marketing, and I don't sell or pass them on for anyone else's use.
How long I keep it
I use your details only to read and reply to your enquiry, and to follow up on any work we go on to discuss. My legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch (and, where we start working together, taking steps towards a contract).
I don't use your details for marketing, and I don't sell or pass them on for anyone else's use.
Who else is involved
I don't share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. The site runs on Wix (my website host) and I use standard email to correspond, so those providers process data on my behalf as part of delivering their services.
Cookies
This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work. It may also use optional cookies (for example, to measure aggregated, non-identifying visitor trends). Where it does, you can accept or decline these using the cookie banner shown when you first visit. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal data — including to access it, correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to how I use it. To exercise any of these, just email enquiries@charlottechilds.com and I'll respond.
If you're ever unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
